We were very fortunate to host several visits by members of the Cambodian community to Brookline High School during the 2009-2010 school year:

A visit by Kem Sokkha, the president of the Cambodian Human Rights Party

A visit by Brookline High School graduate and Khmer Rouge survivor Syphorn Phan who spoke at a Freshmen assembly and visited several classes to share his experiences as a survivor of the Khmer Rouge

Each of these visits both broadened and deepened our student’s knowledge about Cambodian history and culture.
